Adulting with CHD: Things we "shouldnt" do.
We are told everything we "can't" do from the moment we take our first steps.
As CHD Pioneers we have relentlessly strong spirits and adventurous souls. Most of us will try almost anything once, just for the simple fact of always being told "no" and "you cant" to pretty much everything we want to do.
Curiosity and rebellion saves us as much as it kills us. It opens as many new doors as it closes. However the point is, we wouldnt have known which ones to open or close if we didnt at least try.
All that matters is if its worth it.
Personally, 90% if not more of my life has been things I "shouldnt" be able to do and I have always refused to live on anyone elses terms but my own. This has literally saved my life multiple times. Some of these experiences will be in my book. I will probably never tell them all haha! Im so proud of myself for saying who cares what other people are afraid of, Im doing what I want.
I can honestly say if I died tomorrow I have lived a freaking amazing, crazy, adventurous, ridiculously fun life and done what most people take 75 years to do in a matter of 30.
When you are born with a death sentence, you do what you want when you want and no one will understand that until you live it. You listen to ONE person, and thats yourself. Its a long hard road but damn have we had some crazy fun.
*People I asked to participate in this including myself do not have pictures of majority of things we werent supposed to do, nor would we want to share it, lol, because we just did it and didnt tell anyone and definitely do not keep the evidence. Lol.
Some of these pictures may or may not have ended up in ER visits. ... 😣
We dont know our limits until we test them. Let us test our own limits, we dont hold you back from yours.
The key is to not make the same mistake over and over, because thats what gets us on a path we may not be able to come back from.
Here are a few things we do even when told You Cant.
Feel free to share some of your "shouldnts" and "cants!" ❤
HAPPY CHD AWARENESS WEEK! <3

Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
